Vila Nova de Milfontes is a Portuguese ville located in the municipality of Odemira, in the district of Beja that appears in the region of Baixo Alentejo, on the northern river of the embouchure of the Mira fleuve. This city is named "Princess of Alentejo" from the nature park of the south-west of Alentejo and the Costa Vicentina.

It has a surface area of 75.88 km2 and has 5031 inhabitants (2011). The population density is 65.9 inhabitants/km2.
